I never grew up with DB to have nostalgia but ill tell you what my qualms are. Z has blood, uses it sparingly which makes it That much more impactful. And the muscles, the entire reason kids watch this show, the reason Broly exists. in Super everyone looks like a men's physique athlete in their off season. really flabby and round despite being skinny. Z has every single character cut to the bone and made out of rocks. It really does matter in a show about fighting. No one would watch Baki if they were built like 12 year old children, like in Super.

@Geekdom101 you made a slight error, the perfected super saiyan blue form wasn't exclusive to the anime, it was introduced in dragonball super broly, goku and vegeta were seen with this forms to which then gogeta used. To tell the difference you must take in min d the very dark blue pupils and slightly lighter hair appearance to which goku, vegeta, and of course gogeta clearly had.

In my opinion, King Cold was much weaker than Frieza. King Cold was obviously added later but the reaction of every other character towards Frieza doesn't really make sense if there's just this other guy that's stronger. If Frieza is the strongest, than King Cold isn't an issue, since if you can beat Frieza, you could beat King Cold. So everybody focusing on Frieza's power makes a lot more sense. In addition, Frieza always went around in his first form, he commented numerous times how rare it was to show the other ones, so it's likely nobody really saw Frieza's other forms. That would suggest King Cold's 2nd form (assuming that is what he's in), is equal to or less than Frieza's first form. Say 400,000 for instance, still way higher than most other characters but still lower than Frieza. If both those things are true, that would put a full power King Cold at roughly 48 Million. That put him way below SSJ Goku and Trunks. That's always made the most sense to me, at that level King Cold is still a very powerful character but Frieza being the Emperor and everybody focusing so much on Frieza over Cold makes way more sense this way. We know Frieza can't sense energy, so him not knowing just how much stronger he is than King Cold, just that he is stronger also works fine. Frieza comments that only his parents ever hurt him in his final form, at 48 Million, King Cold would be only slightly weaker than Goku was when using the Kaioken, which is roughly when he comments that, so seems to add up to me. .
